How much truth is there within the History of Kumari Kandam?

The present formations of india, Arabia, Africa, Antarctica, South America and Australia started breaking up because of natural upheavals and moving to completely different parts of the planet and located their places within the Asian Continent. The movement of the planet mass, known as Navalam Theevu in Tamil, caused the formation of the current continent of india.

History of Kumari Kandam :

History begins Over a period of about ,11,000 years, the Pandyans, a historical dynasty of Tamil kings, formed 3 Tamil Sangams, so as to foster among their subjects the love of knowledge, literature and poetry. These Sangams were the fountain head of Tamil culture and literature.

According to tradition, First Sangam the Mudal Sangam, located in Thenmadurai, had 4449 poets, a list that included Sivaperuman and Kumaravel, Agasthiyar and about 89 kings. it had been patronized by a succession of 89 kings and survived for a period of 4,400 years then it had been destroyed once a flood arose and Madurai itself was enclosed by the ocean in conjunction with massive elements of the land area of Kumari Kandam. Paripadal, Mudunarai, Mudukuruku, Kalariyavirai and the treatise on grammar called Peragathiyam were reported during this time.

However, the survivors, saving a number of the books, they moved to further north. They established a Second Sangam -Idai Sangam which had 3700 poets, functioned for 3700 years until a flood destroyed Kaptapuram. The literary works Agathiyam, Tholkappiam, Boothpuranam, Maapuranam were supposed to have been produced during this time

The survivors once more relocated north known with modern Madurai in Tamilnadu, then referred to as Vada-madurai (Northern Madurai). The Third Sangam-Kadai Sangam was established and with 449 poets lasted for a period of 1850 years.

All the three Sangam functioned for 9990 years.

Kumari Kandam was engulfed by the sea, its people spread across the world and founded varied civilisations.

From Kumari Kandam, South of Tamil Nadu, about 15,000 years past individuals moved to africa and have become Sumerians and people who moved from africa to arabia later became Jews.Due to tsunami people moved to Bengal and have become Cholas and people who moved to Sind and punjab became Cheras.
Tamil literatures say that in the Kurukshethra war, Chera Kings had given food to both the armies. From of these we tend to come back to a conclusion that the ancient South india would have been with tall cliffs, dense forests with high fertility.

Because of a calamity, which happened in 9,000 BC, that destroyed Chera, Chola and Pandiya Kingdoms and that they all then came and settled in South india. the great scholar Sri Avvai Duraisamy Pillai has established that the “Pancha Dravidam” is that the region consisting Gujarath, maharashtra, Andhra, Kerala, Karnataka and tamil nadu.

In “Irayanar Agapporul” (Nakkeerar Urai) it's mentioned that 72 Pandiya Kings had ruled tamil nadu (which was inclusive of the destroyed Kumari Kandam) from 30,000 B.C. to 16,000 B.C. (i.e. for 14,000 years).
Thus The Pandiyan kings of Kumari Kandam were the rulers of the entire Indian continent, and Tamil civilisation is that the oldest civilisation within the world.

Literary evidence :

Literary proof of the lost continent of Kumari Kandam comes in the main from the literature of the Third Tamil Sangam and also the historical writings based on them.

  • The first evidence of kumari kandam appears in SKANDA PURANAM written by Kachiappa Sivachariya.
  • The Silappathikaram and also the Manimekalai, mentions to an enormous landmass and also the river Prahuli and the mountain Kumari surroundered by several hills , numerous great cities with great monuments  that was engulfed by a ocean." These landslips have submerged immense territory that was known as Kumai Nadu or Kumari Kandam.
  • The Kalittogai, refers to a Pandyan king losing their territories to the sea and compensating the loss by capture new territories from Imayam (The Himalayas) and Gangai (River Ganges) .
  • Nachinarkiniyar mentions that the sea submerged 49 nadus (districts) and includes 2 main rivers of Kumari Kandam as the Pagruliyaru and the Kumari 770 km.According to commentators, the distance between the river Kumari and the river Pahruli is about 770Km. (700ckatham)
  • The Sanskrit-language Bhagavata Purana (dated 500 BCE-1000 CE) describes its protagonist Manu (aka Satyavrata) as the Lord of Dravida (South India). The Matsya Purana(dated 250–500 CE) also begins with Manu practicing tapas on Mount Malaya of South India.
  • In Sillapathikaram, it was mentioned that one “Ezhuthanga Nadu” (7x7 =49 countries) existed. coconut territories (Ezhuthanga natu), seven Madurai territories (Ezhumaturai natu), seven old sandy territories (Ezhumunpalai natu), seven new sandy territories (Ezhupinpalai natu), seven mountain territories (Ezhukunra natu), seven eastern coastal territories (Ezhukunakarai natu) and seven dwarf-palm territories (Ezhukurumpanai natu).

All these says many-mountained land that began with KumariKollam with forests and habitations were submerged which is present-day Kollam and Kanyakumari districts.

Archaeological & geologic Evidence:

A discovery made by a team of marine archaeologists from India’s National Institute of oceanography (NIO) in March 1991 identified a man-made object on the shore of Tarangambadi-Poompuhar coast in Tamilnadu that the U-shaped structure could be a man made lies at a depth of 23 metres and about 5 kms offshore.

Graham hancock and Dr glen milne, a specialist in glacio-isotacy and glaciation induced sea-level change, were able to show that areas at 23 metres depth and about five kms offshore would have submerged about 11,000 years and the significance is 6,000 years older than the primary architecture of Egypt that is around 3000 BC.

Dr. glen milne have shown in their maps that South india between 17,000-7,000 years ago and predicted that pre-historic ruins more than 11,000 years old should lie underwater at depths and locations off Tamilnadu’s coast besides lot of temples in Tamilnadu which have inscriptions in their walls on drastic flood and there is a lot of evidence at seven pagodas in Mahabalipuram which is submerged now.

So you have to conclude the amount of truth in it.
